PeoplePerHour Fee Calculator
PeoplePerHour uses a unique tiered fee system based on your lifetime earnings with each individual client. The more you work with a client, the lower the fee — from 20% down to just 3.5%. This is one of the few platforms that genuinely rewards repeat business.

How PeoplePerHour fees actually work
The PPH fee model is the opposite of Fiverr: it punishes one-off projects but rewards long-term client relationships heavily.
Tiered service fees (per client lifetime)
- First £250 with a client: 20% service fee
- £250 to £5,000: 7.5% service fee
- Above £5,000: 3.5% service fee
Why tiers matter
- A long-term retainer client at £6000 lifetime pays 5.7x less fee than a new client
- Each client's lifetime is tracked independently — switching clients resets the tier
- Platform incentivizes you to deepen client relationships, not chase new logos
Withdrawal options
- PayPal: free withdrawal
- Payoneer: free withdrawal
- Wire transfer: £25 fee (only on amounts above £100)
- Earnings held in GBP, USD, or EUR
A new £500 client pays 20% on the first £250 (£50) and 7.5% on the next £250 (£18.75) — total £68.75 fee on £500. The same £500 from a long-term client who has crossed £5,000 lifetime pays only 3.5% — £17.50. Same work, four times less fee.

- 2PPH is best for retainer-style clients, not one-off small projects
- 3Use GBP earnings to a GBP bank account to skip currency conversion entirely
- 4Set up regular payment schedules with key clients to hit tier breakpoints faster
- 5Track per-client lifetime spend in a spreadsheet — PPH does not surface it prominently
